Yosemite, Part II

We ate breakfast at a little cafe. Devin did not want to stay in his seat!

Afterwards we drove to Yosemite, rented bicycles, and rode around the valley. We stopped to sit by the river and take in the scenery. Devin napped in the little bicycle trailer for about an hour.

Yosemite, Part I

Devin slept for one of three hours on the drive to Yosemite. He is so active that it's difficult for him to stay strapped in his car seat.

Once we arrived in Mariposa, about a half-hour outside of Yosemite, we stopped for Mexican food. The weather was absolutely perfect- warm and sunny, a clear blue sky and huge white clouds. We sat at an outdoor patio and relaxed. Devin was just excited to be out of his car seat.

After checking into the hotel and unpacking we drove the remaining half-hour to Yosemite. The lush green hillsides and explosions of wildflowers with the rushing river were so mesmerizing that Devin did not mind getting back into his car seat.

We did a leisurely stroll around the Four Mile Loop. Devin was quite happy to romp about.

Devin was very determined to go touch the Merced River. It was colder than he wanted it to be.
