Olive's Birthday (a week late)

Olive had a party last weekend at the park. It was all fun and games (wiffle balls, parachutes, bubbles) until someone found the bin of ashes for the BBQ pits and started covering his body, and other children's bodies in ash dust. And knocked over a trash can while I was trying to remove said individual from the park. 

 

*no photos of ash or trash can incident available as immediate intervention precluded use of extra hands. 

Luxmi's Birthday

Today was Luxmi's birthday and she had the sweetest little party by the lake under a shady oak tree. Devin and the other children ran around the the Labyrinth near the tree for over an hour. Devin was not too happy to find out that the cupcakes did not have frosting but acquiesced to eating two of them anyway (if eating is defined by cramming the entire cupcake into one's mouth).

Date with Nana

Devin had a date with Nana while we had an Anniversery Dinner out. He un-made her bed, cleared her shelves of all wheeled items, then did acrobatics on her coffee table.  On the drive home the new Bay Bridge never fails to impress.

Yosemite

We went to Tuolomne Meadows. It was beautiful but quite a long drive. Devin did "choo choo" all around and focused on getting as dirty as possible. It was a nice break from the drive.

We had a wonderful day today. After breakfast we drove to Evergreen Lodge where we rented bicycles. After a nice ride we had the most delicious lunch on their shaded patio. The food was outstanding. We spent a bit more time at the lake and finally turned on for the afternoon to relax at the house and saw so many deer meandering by.
