Devin was born on 12/12/10 at 11:11am in Dayton, Ohio on a cold winter day. We wished for him for so long and now he is finally here. We wanted his story here in order to keep in touch with all of his family around the country.

Ferry!
We picked up Auntie Angela and took the ferry across the bay to San Francisco. It was warm and sunny (unusual for San Francisco). We braved the tourist crowds and walked up to Fisherman's Wharf to show Devin the sealions. Then we rented bicycles and rode to the Golden Gate Bridge. We rode back and ate some Mexican food before catching the ferry back home. Devin fell asleep in the middle of eating a snack on the ferry ride home sitting upright in his seat - he was that tired! It was a fun day!

The Ovals
Devin has been transfixed lately by "ovals." He likes to point out that they can't talk and that they might kick you. It took me a few minutes the first time he was referring to the "ovals" to figure out that he meant mannequins. It certainly goes without saying that they are a bit creepy.

Pool Party!
Devin was a non-stop party animal. He swam and played all day and was only upset when it was time to leave. His energy is astounding.

Rainbow Party
Socks
We kept wondering why Devin was coming home from school with no socks on: fashion statement?, sock-eating classmate?, careless school sock mix up? After talking to his teachers, it turns out he takes them off and stashes them in the back of his cubby on the sly. Now we know.

Green Hats and Little Blue Cars
When Devin got to school he saw Carson (his blond doppelgänger). Carson had on a green hat and was riding around in a little blue car. So Devin immediately put on a green hat and started driving around in a little blue car. Too funny.

Dunk Tanks and Dirt
We went to a party on Sunday and there was a dunk tank. Papa went in and got dunked! After the tank was drained, Devin had an amazing time splashing around in the remnants. He was covered in dirt and mud and then decided to take off all his clothes. He provided endless entertainment for everyone. He also has two pieces of cake. It was a good day.

Fire Station Demo
It was our lucky day- after coming out of the market, we saw the fire station across the street was having a demonstration. Very exciting. Devin loved the water hose, but was not a fan once the siren started up.
