Devin was born on 12/12/10 at 11:11am in Dayton, Ohio on a cold winter day. We wished for him for so long and now he is finally here. We wanted his story here in order to keep in touch with all of his family around the country.
Aunt Elizabeth was visiting from Amsterdam. We took a walk on the beach, ate burritos, and opened gifts from Devin's cousins. Devin entertained us with his silly antics and constant attempts to eat the wrapping paper when our eyes were averted.
Devin had his myringotomy surgery today. The procedure went perfectly. The only difficult part was not feeding him this morning. He was one hungry baby by 9am!
Here he is in his hospital get up:
Talking with his doctor:
Post-op in recovery (snoozing):
Two bottles of apple juice later (hospital-mandated and his first ever juice experience) we were on our way home:
Oliver came over and we went to the Little Farm at Tilden Park today. The cows were a bit intimidating as they lunged for the celery we brought with their huge heads and tongues. Devin and Oliver preferred watching the bunnies skip around in their hutch and the chickens scratch atound in their coops.
It was a glorious, sunny day in San Francisco so we went to have lunch with Great-Grandma Charlotte and Great-Uncle Steve. Devin ate toast at the Beach Chalet and we walked along the beach for a bit enjoying the sunshine.
After recovering from a terrible bout with a stomach virus Devin is much better and we spent some time at the park with Auntie Amy, Benen, And Gemma. Gemma was so sweet- she helped Devin brush the wood chips off his pants after crawling around.
