Daytrip Down the Coast

We took a roadtrip to Capitola for the day. We had Mexican food, walked around, then took a scenic drive up the coast.

Holding His Own Bottle

Devin decided to suddenly hold his own bottle today. He Is so smart and is getting so big! I told him that next time he could install my wireless router.

Lunch With Auntie Amy

Today Devin and I met Auntie Amy, Benen and Little Gemma Louise for lunch and a stroll. The weather was glorious but the parking was not.

Twilight Walk

We took a twilight walk around the neighborhood. Little D dozed off toward the end.

Catching of the Feet

So Strong!

Devin is so strong. He is almost crawling. He can scoot across the floor to get a toy.

Eating

Devin has been eating a small amount of solids each night. His favorite so far is banana so I've been mixing that with avocado or rice cereal for him. Tonight he ate two and a half small dishes of banana mixed with rice cereal and was so enthusiastic about it that he squealed for more between each bite and kept reaching out to grab the spoon. I'm glad he's such a good eater!

Aunt Kathleen is here for the weekend visiting. Little D is having lots of fun!

Devin's First Rice Cereal

Devin had tried some banana a few days ago and seemed to like it. Here is his first introduction to rice cereal. He seems to like it, but maybe less so than the banana. He is still mastering the art of swallowing solids as evidenced by the amount of rice cereal on his chin a bib. At one point I told him he looked like Santa Claus.

Grandma & Grandpa

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit. It was a busy weekend and they were great babysitters. Here is Devin with Grandma at dinner tonight.

Doorway Bouncer

5 Months!

Devin is 5 months old today. He is so strong, he loves people, and has a great sense of humor already!

Evening Hike, Moon Gate

We went on an evening hike. Little D chewed his hand the whole time.

Feet!

Devin has found his feet. Here he is in the bath making every attempt to gnaw on them. (Please note overall pudginess and elbow dimples!)

John Muir House National Park

Auntie Angela and I took Devin to the John Muir House National Park. We toured the house, had a picnic, then walked around downtown for a bit. Devin liked it when I rang the bell in the bell tower.

Oakland Art Walk

We went to the Oakland Art Walk with Auntie Loralie on Friday. It was so fun! Art galleries brimming with amazing work and booths outside with great food. We lost ourselves in the art. One gallery had a huge mobile inside. Devin was as interested in the mobile as other people were in him!!!
