Warm!!!

It's officially warm- about 76 degrees today and gorgeous. Devin got to spend the afternoon in only a diaper and he liked it! Now when he's hungry he throws both hands in the air and says "oh" with delight when he sees the bottle. Here is a photo of him enjoying the warmth.

Warm Evening

It was the first really warm day of spring. It was beautiful. We ate dinner with Little D at an outdoor cafe. He was quite the attraction and many people stopped to say hello.

Army Crawl

Devin is doing the army crawl. He has turned over from stomach to back twice!

Baby Bjorn

We had a break in the rain tonight so we took the dogs for a walk with Little D in the Baby Bjorn for the first time. He fell asleep after about 15 minutes.

Devin has the best laugh. He kind of giggles a bit. I finally caught a second of it!

Devin likes to grasp and chew on his Manhattan Winkle toy. And cross his eyes when I hold the camera close!

I have trouble deciding which look is my favorite, but other than smiles, it might be this serious gaze (Blue Steel).

Penguin Suit

The penguin suit Samantha gave Little D fits now! He was moving a lot, so it was hard to get a good photo.

Dexterity

Little D has increased his dexterity over the past week. He is much more adept at grabbing and gripping (although he still drops things quickly and we spend lots of time picking them up)!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We took the Little Leprechaun out to dinner on St. Patrick's Day. We sat out on the patio at Fillipo's under the heat lamps and watched hoards of people wearing green filter into McNally's Irish Pub a few doors down. We met another baby named Lancelot (!) on the way to the car.

Today is Little D's first day with Amanda. It was hard to leave him this morning, but he is in very capable hands.

Brunch

We had a brunch date with Auntie Jenna and Vivian today. After some initial fussiness Devin took a catnap.

Evening stroll

It was a lovely evening so we took a long stroll around the neighborhood. Devin was captivated by the trees on different streets.

We think he looks like a piece of sushi!

Singing

We try to always play music for Little D in his room while he's awake or while he's napping. He likes classical at times (schubert piano, especially), Spanish guitar music, and others. Today, however, he was singing to Johnny Cash for several minutes!

Little D was laughing, cracking up, talking, and smiling all morning. Of course by the time I get the iPhone to record him, he's mostly stopped. Here is the tail end of it.

Catnapper

Devin does not take substantial naps. At most they are 45 minutes and are sometimes only 15 minutes. And, they usually only total about 3 hours per day, if that. He is sleeping well at night, though, so that makes up for it.

Bright Eyes

Despite his cold, Little D is still quite bright-eyed.
